¿ Kultur?Die Irish Republic oder Republic of Ireland -Republik Irland ist die unabhängige Republik Irlands. Sie erstreckt sich über die gesamte irische Insel mit Ausnahme von Ulster - Nordirland im Nordosten, das zum United Kingdom - Vereinigten Königreich gehört. Durch den Anglo-Irish Treaty - anglo-irisches Abkommen von 1921 erhielt Irland, wie auch Kanada und Australien, den Status eines dominion - Herrschaftsgebiet innerhalb des Commonwealth als der Irish Free State. Die Republik zog sich 1949 aus dem Commonwealth zurück und schloss sich 1973 der Europäischen Gemeinschaft an. Das Staatsoberhaupt ist der für sieben Jahre gewählte President. -
2 Fianna Fáil
¿ Kultur?Soldaten Irlands heißt eine der beiden großen Parteien der Irish Republic - Republik Irland. Die zweite große Partei ist Fine Gael - Stamm der Gälen. Fianna Fáil wurde 1926 gegründet, um sich dem Anglo-Irish Treaty - anglo-irischen Abkommen von 1921 zu widersetzen, durch das die Irish Republic den Status eines dominion - Herrschaftsgebiet innerhalb des Commonwealth erhielt. Die Partei kam 1932 unter Eamon de Valera an die Macht und stellt seither fast ununterbrochen die Regierung. -
3 Sinn Féin
[ˌʃɪnʼfeɪn] nno pl, + sing/ pl vbSinn Féin f¿ Kultur?Sinn Féin („Wir allein“) ist eine irische Unabhängigkeitspartei, die 1905 gegründet wurde. Sie bildete 1919 ihre eigene Versammlung und war für den Beginn der Verhandlungen des Anglo-Irish Treaty - anglo-irisches Abkommen und 1921 für die Gründung des Irish Free State verantwortlich. Die IRA ( Irish Republican Army), Sinn Féins Guerrillatruppe, entstand 1919, wurde aber 1922 zurückgedrängt. 1969 spaltete sich jedoch ein provisional wing ab und war bis zum Waffenstillstand 1994 in Nordirland aktiv. -
4 Fine Gael
¿ Kultur?Stamm der Gälen heißt eine der beiden großen Parteien der Irish Republic - Republik Irland. Die andere große Partei ist Fianna Fáil - Soldaten Irlands. Fine Gael wurde von der Gruppe der Sinn Féin gegründet, die das Anglo-Irish Treaty - anglo-irische Abkommen von 1921 befürwortete. Diese Partei regierte bis 1932; seitdem ist sie hauptsächlich in der Opposition.
